"Anophthalmus"

Sometimes the brain feels like a computer with too many tabs open: light is loud, glances sting, information crashes in without warning...

Biologically, there is the phenomenon of vestigial organs - things once necessary, now hidden inside. Perhaps, for this way of being in the world, ordinary eyes are already part of such a vestige. Other "organs" become active: for details, for patterns, for the inner world.

Anophthalmus here is not an absence. It is a reduction of one channel to sharpen others. The character in the painting is not disfigured - they are different, complete and self-sufficient in their new anatomy ☆
