Alyra Walhorn
I create my own world of cozy weird dreams. In it, strange, almost nightmare creatures peacefully coexist with quirky fairytale houses. And bright sunsets give way to equally bright sunrises...

My work is about self-perception and exploring the world as I see it, being an autistic person with several mental health conditions.

I stand by the principle:
“Art should evoke emotion. And fear and disgust are emotions too”

I mostly work in small, intimate formats. It’s my way of finding peace: creating tiny worlds that can be held close, right in your hands. It’s easier to breathe there ☆
I was born in 2005 in Saint Petersburg,
Russia, into a family of artists

In 2017 - 2023, I studied at the Saint
Petersburg Art Lyceum named after
B. V. Ioganson, which is part of the
Russian Academy of Arts

In 2023, I graduated from the lyceum
with honours in art

The same year, I received a gold medal
from the Russian Academy of Arts for
excellence in painting

My artistic journey through my own
worlds began in 2025. That’s when I
found my style - the one I still
work in today
